Privacy Policy

ElectricRoc is operated by Empire Plates, Inc., whose business mailing address is 21 Goodway Drive, Rochester, NY 14623. It is not a walk-in counter or device drop-off. This policy explains how we handle information submitted through our website, secure upload links, private status pages, and email communications.

Information we collect

We may collect:

• your name, email address, and pickup ZIP code;
• device type, brand, model, approximate age, symptoms, and repair description;
• device photos and file metadata needed to evaluate the repair;
• pickup or return details after you approve a quote;
• quote, payment, repair, custody, and communication records;
• basic website analytics and ad-attribution data, such as pages viewed, referral source, and campaign parameters.

Do not submit passwords, unlock codes, payment-card details, private screen content, or unrelated personal files in a public form or photo upload. We do not need a full serial number or IMEI during the initial request unless we specifically ask for it through a secure follow-up.

How we use information

We use the information to:

• evaluate whether a repair is practical and prepare a written quote;
• identify compatible parts and coordinate approved pickup, repair, and return;
• communicate about your request and provide support;
• prevent fraud, protect devices in our custody, and maintain business records;
• improve the intake experience and measure whether advertising leads to repair requests; and
• comply with tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Email and private status links

We use the email address submitted with a request for repair questions, decisions, quotes, and pickup or return coordination. Your private status link is shown after submission and is not automatically emailed. Anyone with that link can view the request status, so keep it private.

Device photos

Upload links are opaque, expire, and are associated with one repair request. Uploaded images are re-encoded to remove common embedded metadata, including location metadata where technically possible. They are not published or exposed through a public media directory.

When we disclose information

We may disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, communications, analytics, payment, security, or professional services; to comply with law or protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transaction. Vendors may use the information only to perform services for us under their applicable terms and agreements. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We keep request, photo, quote, and repair records only as long as reasonably needed for evaluation, service, warranties, disputes, security, and legal obligations. We use access controls, private storage, encrypted transport, and limited operator access. No system is completely secure, so please submit only information needed for the repair.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information that is not required for an active repair or legal record. Public-site analytics starts automatically unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
